Yudhoyono Meets Former Secretary of personality

President Yudhoyono Meets Prime Minister of Japan

President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono opened a bilateral meeting with Japanese Prime Minister Taro Aso in Washington DC, USA, Saturday (15/11) early days. In the meeting, the President and Taro Aso to exchange opinions and coordination of the High Level Conference G-20.

President of the occasion to emphasize the importance of the role of Japan as a motor of economic growth world. Therefore Japan is expected to increase trade and investment in Asia. 

In addition to hold bilateral meetings with several heads of state, the President also met with about 200 U.S. businessmen and Indonesia joined in the Usindo. They propose to the President of the need to support a global fund to help the economic growth of developing countries that can survive for at least three years. 

This proposal will also be taken in meeting the G-20 group, tomorrow. President also suggested the need to be revised international financial architecture and accelerate the restoration of trust and protect the real sector. 

President Yudhoyono also believes relations of cooperation between Indonesia and the U.S. will be better after Barack Obama elected as president of the new United States. During the administration President George Walker Bush, America has been encouraging progress in relations the two countries. Among others to remove the weapons embargo, provide educational assistance to U.S. $ 157 million for five years and increase the trade value reached U.S. $ 18.5 billion in the year 2007. 

Yudhoyono further explained, the relationship between the U.S. and Indonesia must be based on the principle of equal partnership and the interests of the same. In addition, the relationship between the two countries should provide benefits to the community long term. 

The meeting of leaders of countries that joined in the G-20 group, which will begin tomorrow can be expected to be the beginning of a process that will start the global financial reform. G-20 forum is the minister of finance and central bank governors, which was established since 1999. This forum aims to discuss financial issues.

President Yudhoyono Arrive in U.S.

President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono who accompanied Mrs. Ani Yudhoyono arrived at the Airport Andrews Air Force, Maryland, United States, Thursday (13/11) night local time. President arrived in Kuwait City, is scheduled to attend the countries that joined in the Group 20 (G-20) in Washington DC for three days. 

G-20 arrived in Kuwait City to be important in the global financial crisis that occurred since the last two months. Arrived in Kuwait City in this country leaders will discuss the present global financial restructuring, including help developing countries affected by the crisis in order to maintain economic growth. 

G-20 forum is the minister of finance and governors of the Central Bank was established in 1999 and aims to discuss financial problems. In addition to the G-20 arrived in Kuwait City, President Yudhoyono is scheduled to meet with Prime Minister of Japan Taro Aso, World Bank President Robert Zoellick and Australian PM Kevin Rudd.
